HOW DOES IT WORK?
We use a special fluorescent paint that reacts to UV light. During the day, it absorbs light and emits it in the dark for a long time. Its light is much more intense and powerful than that of commercial fluorescent paints, and the light absorbed can be emitted up to 10 times longer.
HOW LONG DOES IT GLOW?
Depending on the charge, the ceiling emits light for 2-8 hours. The charge depends on how much natural light the room receives, which is why it’s recommended to discuss the window dimensions and how much light will enter the room beforehand. If the window is small or if little light enters the room, you will need a charging source such as an UV LED or UV bulb, or any standard light source.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST / HOW LONG DOES IT "WORK"?
We offer a 20-year warranty for the Starry Ceiling.
IS IT WASHABLE? IS IT WATER-RESISTANT?
The paint is water-based, but once fully dried, it cannot be dissolved with water. This makes it suitable for use in areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms, saunas, or above pools.
HOW IS IT MADE?
The stars are hand-painted using water-based paint, creating the illusion of a starry sky where constellations can be recognized.
WHY CAN'T THE CLIENT SEE THE WORKFLOW?
The starry ceiling is created in several stages, which on their own don’t offer much. That’s why we want the customer to get an impression by seeing the finished work.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM STICKERS, PLASTIC STARS, OR OTHER FLUORESCENT PAINTS AVAILABLE IN STORES?
First of all, it glows 10 times longer and has a much brighter light because it is a specially made paint. Secondly, it provides a much more realistic image than stickers or plastic stars. During the day, it is invisible, creates a spatial effect, features real constellations, and gives the authentic feeling of a starry sky.
S IT BENEFICIAL FOR ANXIOUS CHILDREN AND THOSE WITH SLEEP DISORDERS?
According to feedback from customers, children who previously could only fall asleep with the light on have calmed down by looking at the stars.
WHAT TYPE OF PAINT IS USED? DOES IT CONTAIN RADIOACTIVE COMPONENTS?
We use UV-reactive fluorescent paint that meets strict quality standards. The manufacturer’s certificate confirms that it does not contain any radioactive components.
ON WHAT SURFACE CAN IT BE APPLIED?
It can be applied to any type of surface. The material and color of the surface do not affect the sensation of a starry ceiling; they mainly play a role during the day, in natural light. For instance, on a white or light-colored surface, it will be completely invisible. If applied to wallpaper with a hard surface, the stars won’t be visible during the day.
DOES THE SURFACE NEED TO BE PREPARED IN ADVANCE?
The surface does not require any prior preparation. However, it is recommended to paint the surface beforehand to ensure the starry ceiling can last for its guaranteed lifespan.
DOES THE ROOM NEED TO BE ARRANGED, OR FURNITURE MOVED?
It is not necessary to empty the room, just ensure easy access to the ceiling with the help of a ladder.
HOW DOES IT CHARGE? HOW BIG SHOULD THE WINDOW BE? HOW MUCH LIGHT DOES IT NEED?
The starry ceiling charges primarily with natural light, so it’s important for the room to have a properly sized window. If enough natural light doesn’t enter the room, it can also be charged using a UV neon light, LED, or UV bulb. If it is not charged with natural light, the glow duration will be shorter. Charging with a UV source is done relatively quickly, but it also discharges faster. If charged with natural light, you will experience a much brighter and more intense effect.
IS IT MADE BY HAND?
Yes, the ceiling is made exclusively by hand.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CREATE THE STARRY CEILING?
For a standard-sized room of 15 m², it takes about 4 hours, but this time can vary depending on the room’s layout, height, or if the customer has special requests.
DOES IT DISAPPEAR WHEN PAINTING?
The answer is yes, when you repaint the room, the starry ceiling will completely disappear, as it is painted with a very thin layer that can be easily covered when repainting.
CAN IT BE PAINTED ON THE SIDE WALLS?
Yes, it is actually advantageous, as this way the corners are not visible, and the sensation of a starry vault becomes even more realistic.
HOW BRIGHT IS THE LIGHT?
It cannot replace the light of a lamp. It provides light similar to that of stars in the open sky. That’s why it has a magical effect and offers a pleasant sensation.
